The title recalls the Latin "memento", "remember", but also "remember who you are". The color blue — sacred for the Egyptians, spiritual for the Byzantines, infinite for the Impressionists — here is not only tint, but matter of time.
Pedro Perdomo makes blue his emotional lexicon, and in this canvas he uses it as an archaeological language: each layer tells of a submerged memory.
